Our process

The Journey

Anyone can build a website. What makes the difference is how you get there.

Most website stress has little to do with design or code. It comes from not knowing what happens next: deadlines that drift, revision loops that never close, and a launch day that arrives with questions still open.

Our process exists to take that away. There are seven clear phases, each with a purpose, a named outcome and a simple sign-off. You’ll always know where you are on the path, and exactly what we need from you.

The roadmap

Timings shown are for a Starter build. Business Growth takes around six weeks and E-Commerce around eight, following the same seven phases.

  1. Phase 1 · Week 1

    Asset intake

We gather everything in one place: your logo, photos, words and any websites you admire. A simple shared checklist shows what’s arrived and what’s still to come, so nothing gets lost in email threads.

Your part: upload what you have. It doesn’t need to be perfect; we’ll help fill the gaps.

  2. Phase 2 · Week 1

    Alignment call

A focused 45-minute call on Zoom to agree your goals, your audience, the pages you need and the look and feel. Afterwards we send a short written brief for you to check and approve.

Your part: bring your ideas, and any worries too.

  3. Phase 3 · Weeks 2–3

    Initial build

We build your site on a private preview link, page by page, from your approved brief. Mobile and desktop are designed together rather than one squeezed into the other.

Your part: nothing, this stage is ours. We’ll send a short progress note each week.

  4. Phase 4 · Week 3

    Design review

You explore the full preview in your own time and leave comments directly on the page. If you’d like, we’ll walk you through it on a short call.

Your part: review and comment within five working days.

  5. Phase 5 · Week 4

    Revisions

We work through your feedback in one organised round and confirm each change as it’s made. Starter builds include two rounds; larger builds include three.

Your part: check the changes and tell us if anything’s been missed.

  6. Phase 6 · Week 4

    Final sign-off

A final checklist covering content, links, forms, speed and security. You approve it in writing, so launch day holds no surprises.

    Your part: one clear yes.

  7. Phase 7 · End of week 4

    Go-Live

We launch, test everything on your live domain, and switch on backups and monitoring. You also receive a short, plain-English guide to looking after your new site.

Your part: celebrate. Your aftercare period starts today.
